A: OBERT JONGWE

I am a person who gets fascinated by almost anything and evrything. These fascinations and curiosties are pertaining to the artistic mind within me absorbing information and unleashing itself. My influence range from abstract expressionism for its liberty. I believe that it is crucial for any artwork to stand alone with nothing but a voice of its own. Mood is an intergral part of the work this achieved through the use of strong tonal contrast and what I call visual silence. Visual silence is an area where the eye can rest. The eye is naturally drawn to detail and can be overindulged – the area of visual silence provides the eye the resting place it needs.

C: LEONI AUCAMP

“Photography was the first medium through which I expressed my creativity. It was only after seeking a life figure drawing class at the age of 30 that I was exposed to the medium of oil painting. My life was turned upside down – I have found my life work… There is nothing like the mixing and plying of oil pigment. These days I alternate my oil painting with teaching and growing my repertoire as Fibre Artist and Oil Painter”

D: ARI SWANEPOEL

I love watercolors because of the transparency and luminosity I can achieve with them.  When I paint, I am interested in painting shapes, colors, lines, and mood rather than painting the subject. My work is known for my Loose expressive painting style. – I have been painting for 20 years and some of my artwork are in private collections in the USA, UK, Canada, Belgium, Portugal, Australia, and South Africa. I am a member of The International Watercolor Society South Africa (IWSSA). One of the most prominent elements of my work is the loose free flowing technique used on almost all my painting.

F: ANNELIE WESSON

I paint to reflect the beauty I see and feelings I experience.I have always been drawn to art and painting, which only took off during the last three decades when I opened an art gallery in Ceres and gave art classes to adults as well as children of all ages. Until very recently, I was also involved in the running of an art gallery in Greyton.  I had no formal art training at an art institution but initially did a few foundational watercolour courses with the late purist, Surine Krynauw.  This was followed by various other courses. My passion is to learn, explore, and create.

G: LAETITIA EKSTEEN

I find it exhilarating capturing the emotions of animals by painting their eyes. So much detail can be expressed with the use of colour. Im most comfortable in acrylics but expansed into charcoal and water colours in 2014. In 2020 I founded Visionary art-tech, this is where I express myself through graphic design. Forever exploring I also started dipping into abstract art. Not only has it been an incredibly fun experience, but it has given me a chance to expand even further.

G: ANDREE NOSKA

Oil on canvas is my preferred medium. Experimenting with the play of light in a painting and the use of multiple layers of paint helped me to express my interpretation of the subject, be it nudes, seascapes, landscapes, portraits or floral studies. My aim is to convey to the viewer an impression , a mood conveyed in the subject, capturing the essence and the light that is within all things.

I: ALYSON GUY

I appreciate all facets of life, the beauty of creation in all its diversity- so I paint people, flowers, landscapes, cats are a particular love also. Oils is preferred medium though I’ve have worked in acrylic & watercolor, as well as sculpture in clay. Have been commissioned to do murals, landscapes. Often have a spiritual message in the subject matter and have written short notes as I have meditated on the artwork afterward. Being creative is very therapeutic for me and I know others that it has helped to be set ‘free’, so believe in the means of expressing one’s inner self.
